File-photo library
Rights-cleared photographs editors can attach to a Story. Readers see them credited as a file photo. Never add a photo whose licence you have not checked: adding one is a rights attestation, recorded against your account.
Active photos
Retiring a photo stops it being offered. Stories that already use it keep it.
